August is Foot Health Month and time to give tender loving care to your feet! Taking good care of your feet is important to good health. Plan a relaxing and rejuvenating 5 step pedicure for yourself and create a Foot Pamper Basket for Best Friend’s Day on August 15th including some of these herbal products:

#1 – SOAK and RELAX

HERBAL FOOT SOAK
1/4 c green tea
1/4 c peppermint
1Tbs dried rosemary
1Tbs chamomile
1Tbs oatmeal
1Tbs Epsom salts

Place 1/4c of combined ingredients in a muslin bag. Boil 3 or 4 cups of water and drop in the herbal bag. Remove the pan from the heat and steep for about 15 minutes. Place the "tea" water into a tub large enough to hold both feet and add another 6-7 cups of warm water. Soak feet 15 to 20 minutes. Add smooth stones and/or additional hot water if needed to keep the temperature as warm as desired.

#2 – CLEANSE

HERBAL FOOT SOAP
2Tbs liquid soap (unscented)
4 drops lavender essential oil
2 drops peppermint essential oil

Combine and use to cleanse feet after soaking. Be sure to get into all the crevices especially between toes. Rinse and pat dry.

#3 - SMOOTH

CORNMEAL & MINT FOOT SCRUB
2Tbs oil
1/2c dry cornmeal
4-5 drops peppermint essential oil

Combine and stir well then massage into clean feet with a pumice stone, concentrating on heels
and callused areas. Rinse off with warm water and pat dry.

#4 – MOISTURIZE

LAVENDER FOOT CREAM
3Tbs olive oil
10 drops lavender essential oil
1Tbs grated beeswax

Warm oil gently over very low heat, then stir in lavender essential oil and beeswax. Pour into a small, wide mouth glass jar and cool completely before covering. After use, place cotton socks on your feet for the evening!

#5 - MAINTAIN

AROMA SPRAY
Add 1/2 oz of Witch Hazel extract (alcohol distilled) into a 4oz spray bottle, fill with an infusion of 1Tbs each of rosemary, lavender and mint in 1/2 c water. Attach spray pump and refrigerate. Spray on feet regularly to reduce inflammation, tone and refresh.

Let us not become weary in doing good,
for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people,
especially to those who belong to the family of believers
.””
Galatians 6:9-10
