PAMPER BASKET

clip_image002

March 8th is International Women’s Day (www.internationalwomensday.com) - a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future.

Celebrate today by acknowledging the achievements of some of the women in your life and by creating a special blessing for them. Get a cute small basket and dress it up by lining it with a colorful washcloth or doily, then begin to fill it with soothing and comforting treats.

Following are instructions for two items, a tea blend for the tub and a comforting tea to drink while you soak, but be creative in adding additional items to the basket to customize it to its recipient. Some suggestions might be a pretty tea cup and saucer, specialty cookies, bath salts, a lavender sachet or scented soaps.

RELAXING TUB TEA
1/4c each lemon balm, lavender, rose petals, chamomile and loose leaf green tea
1/4c old fashioned oatmeal

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix thoroughly. Package in a cellophane bag tied with a ribbon and attach a drawstring muslin bag with the following instructions. To use, place 1/4c blend into muslin bag, steep in boiling water for 15 minutes, then add everything into tub and enjoy!

COMFORTING TEA BLEND
1/2c dried lemon balm
1/2c loose leaf Rooibos tea
1/2c loose leaf Honeybush Tea
1/3c dried chamomile
1/4c dried catnip
2Tbs dried spearmint

Mix ingredients and package in a cellophane bag tied with a ribbon and attach a tea infuser spoon with the following instructions. To make a cup/mug, fill ½ of the infuser spoon with the tea blend and steep in boiling water for 5 minutes. Caffeine Free
