Today is National Cocoa Day and a great opportunity to bless someone with this “Snowman Soup”! First prepare the following Cocoa Mix which makes enough for 8 batches of “soup “ – Cocoa Mix: 6c powdered milk, 1 1/2c sugar, 1c baking cocoa and 1/4tsp salt
SNOWMAN SOUP
1c Cocoa Mix
2 Hershey's chocolate kisses (eyes)
4 chocolate chips (mouth)
5-10 mini-marshmallows
1 small candy cane
Put Cocoa Mix in a bag
and chocolate & marshmallows in another small plastic bag.
Instructions:
Crush candy cane and combine with cocoa mix
add 6c hot water, simmer 4 mins,
add chocolate & marshmallows and enjoy!!
Make or buy a tag with a snowman on it, include the instructions and tie on the bags with a cute ribbon and a candy cane. It makes a cute and inexpensive gift – add a clear or snowman mug and use it for a friend or teacher.
Another idea for a great quick blessing gift is to make this chocolate chip scone mix, package in a bag placed in a mug and tie on instructions and a loose leaf tea to enjoy with the scones.
CHOCOLATE CHIP SCONE MIX
2c flour
1/3c sugar
1tsp baking powder
1/4tsp baking soda
1/4tsp salt
1/4c mini chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS: To make 12 scones: Add 8Tbs softened butter into mix then use fingers to work until mixture resembles course meal. Whisk 1/2c sour cream or plain yogurt and 1 egg until smooth then stir into flour mixture with a fork. Use hands to form dough, then divide into two balls. Place each ball on lightly floured surface and pat into a 6” circle about 3/4” thick and cut into 6 triangles. Repeat with remaining. Place on greased cookie sheet, brush with leftover egg mixture and sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 mins.
“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others,
faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.”
I Peter 4:10

lol!! I had no idea you would write this. My Snowman soup was from scratch...this really is so much easier! Love it & you!
Actually written long before I saw that you were making "soup" too, Lisa. Mine actually is from scratch too (see instrustions for Cocoa Mix), but you could easily start with a packaged hot cocoa mix!!
