TEA & CHEESE PAIRING

imageI’m sure you’ve heard of wine and cheese parties, so why not gather some friends for a tea and cheese pairing especially since January 2oth is Cheese Day!  Just purchase a selection of cheeses you love and refer to the information here as to what tea goes best with each or simply experiment on your own. 

Asiago: Keemun black tea, Sencha green tea, White tea

Brie: Green tea, Oolong tea, Spring (1st flush) Darjeeling black tea

Camembert: Sencha green tea, Gunpowder green tea, Spring (1st flush) Darjeeling black tea

Cheddar: Oolong tea, Ceylon black tea, Darjeeling (Spring, 1st flush or Summer, 2nd flush), Lapsang Souchong black tea

Cream Cheese: Ceylon black tea, Spring (1st flush) Darjeeling black tea

Edam: Ceylon black tea, Autumnal Darjeeling black tea, Wuyi Oolong

Goat cheese: Green tea , Genmaicha green tea, Assam black tea

Gorgonzola: Green tea, Ceylon black tea, Oolong tea

Gouda: Darjeeling black tea

Leicester: Earl Grey black tea

Muenster: Oolong tea

Provolone: Ceylon black tea

Stilton: Darjeeling black tea, Lapsang Souchong black tea
