MAY PAMPER BASKET

Any time of year is a great time to pamper oneself, but why not pamper someone else this month by putting together a basket full of items to do just that.  May 20th is Neighbor Day and a perfect opportunity to bless someone.

Get a cute small basket and dress it up by lining it with a colorful washcloth or hand towel, tie on a wired ribbon bow, then begin to fill it with soothing and comforting treats.  Following are instructions for a few items, a foot soak and eye tea, plus a relaxing tea to sip, but be creative in adding additional items to the basket to customize it to its recipient.  Some suggestions might be a pretty tea cup and saucer, specialty cookies, sachet or scented soaps.

HERBAL FOOT SOAK
Refreshes tired feet especially after a long day
1Tbs green tea
2tsp lavender flowers
1tsp rosemary
1tsp sage
1tsp thyme
1 bay leaf

Place all the ingredients in a muslin bag.
TO USE: Add bag with herbs to 4 cups of boiling water and steep 15 minutes.  Add water to tub & soak feet 15 mins

EYE TEA
Soothes sore, tired eyes and helps relieve stress
2tsp green tea (ground)
1tsp chamomile (ground)

Combine and place in a sealable tea bag.
TO USE:  Immerse tea bag into warm water. Place one over each eye.  Lay back, relax and enjoy!

A light, very relaxing mint tea
