One way to bless someone is to make and package mixes as gifts to enhance foods, such as rice.  This mix makes enough for 10 batches and can be prepared with purchased herbs or you can dry your own for an even more personal touch.  Package in air tight containers and don’t forget to attach instructions for its use or you may even want to add the whole mix along with a bag of rice to a rice cooker as a great gift for a special cook in your life!

1c sliced almonds, coarsely chopped
1/2c chicken bouillon granules
1/2c dried parsley flakes
1Tbs dried basil
1Tbs dried dill weed
1Tbs dried minced onion
1Tbs seasoned salt
1Tbs garlic powder
1tsp lemon-pepper seasoning

To use: Combine 3 tablespoons seasoning mix, 1c white/brown rice and 2 or 3 cups water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until the water is absorbed.

A generous man will prosper;
he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed
