TEA NOSEGAYS

 

 

 

 

Today is Neighbor Day!  Bless one or several of your neighbors with a nosegay made of tea by changing the basic structure from a traditional bunch of flowers to more of a bunch of “sachets on a stick.”  The sachets will be filled with fragrant, unsteeped tea leaves that can provide fragrance and then later a great cup of tea!

 

First, select what tea(s) and/or herbal(s) to use and place 1 teaspoon in a sealable teabag and iron shut.  Use a spoon (shop thrift stores for mismatched silverware) as the stick and place the teabag in the bowl of the spoon.  Wrap each “sachet” with circle of lace, silk, loose woven fabric or a crocheted doily and tie and attach a label with a nice piece of ribbon.  Place several sachets in a mug with instructions for steeping the tea and voilà, you have a unique bouquet that any neighbor will enjoy.
