Tomorrow, Aug 15, is National Relaxation Day and Best Friend’s Day - a great way to celebrate both is to bless your best friend with a Pamper Jar!  Simply find a large jar and fill with the following herbal products to pamper from head to toe and add a fun label!

Herb Facial Scrub
1c grated mild soap
1/4c green tea
1/4c lavender
1/2c old fashioned oatmeal
Combine ingredients and then for each scrub, add 1/4c to middle of lightweight washcloth, gather up & tie with a yard of ribbon.  To use: wet and rub over face and skin to remove dead cells and stimulate circulation, then hang to dry over faucet or shower head with the attached ribbon between use.

Herbal Foot Soak
1Tbs green tea
1Tbs peppermint
1Tbs rosemary
1Tbs chamomile
1Tbs oatmeal
1Tbs Epsom salts

Place all the ingredients in a muslin bag.  To use: boil 3 or 4 cups of water and drop in the herbal bag. Remove the pan from the heat and steep for about 15 minutes. Add the herb infused water with warm water in a tub you can soak your feet in. Soak your feet for 15 minutes. Pat dry and add a rich moisturizer.

Herbal Bath Fizz
1/4c baking soda
2Tbs citric acid
2Tbs cornstarch
3Tbs coconut oil
1/4tsp lavender essential oil
Combine the baking soda, citric acid and cornstarch, then add oil.  Roll into four balls and let dry 24 hours.  To use: add one fizz ball to bathtub.  Enjoy!

Lavender Headache Sachets
1Tbs lavender
1Tbs whole cloves
Combine lavender and cloves in a sachet bag and tie shut.  To use: inhale vapors when a headache begins

1 c Green Tea or Green Rooibos (Caffeine Free)
1/2 c dried lemon balm
1/4 c dried chamomile
1Tbs dried lavender
1Tbs dried spearmint
Combine and store in an airtight container.  To use: Add 1 teaspoon for a cup or 1 heaping tablespoon for a pot of tea to an infuser, add boiling water and steep 3-5 minutes.

Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others,
faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms
