TEA FAVORS

Need a little favor to bless your guests?  I’ve gathered some cute ideas for wrapping either tea bags or loose leaf tea to give your party guests or even to take to others as a hospitality or thank you gift.

LARGE TEABAG: Place 2 wrapped tea bags on a sheet of scrapbook paper and fold in from each side, then fold down top to form a point.  Fold over and bring points together.  Punch a hole and tie together with a colorful string with an attached label.

BUTTERFLY: Punch or cut out a small butterfly out of yellow card stock and embellish with a marker.  Remove tag from purchased tea bag and attach the butterfly in its place.  Create a matching pouch.

TEACUP ENVELOPES: Use this template to trace and cut out both a front and back from heavy paper and decorate if desired.  Place cutouts back to back and sew them together around the edge with a bold color.  Fill your envelope with a couple wrapped tea bags plus a note with an attached string and tag.  Score and fold the envelope flap over and use washi tape to secure.

DOILY COVERS:  Purchase paper doilies and center a wrapped tea bag in the center, fold up edges and tie like a package with thin ribbon.

SMALL TINS: These can be re-purposed and used for either several tea bags or loose leaf tea – just clean, decorate the tops and fill.

TEA QUOTES: Package simply in plastic bags, but add a special touch with tea quotes tied on with a ribbon.

MINI BOXES: These cute mini Chinese take-out boxes are available in a wide variety of colors and are perfect as loose-leaf tea favors – just choose a tea blend, put in a sealable bag and insert, then attach a cute tag and message.
