2015 BEAUTIFUL YOU LUNCHEON

“Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing
some people have entertained angels without knowing it
.”
Hebrews 13:2

“The Beauty of Blooming” was the theme of the 4rd annual Beautiful You Luncheon hosted today by the Women’s Ministry at my church.  Each year this unique women’s event features tables decorated by volunteer hostesses in whatever theme they choose using everything from paper plates to fine china and it is always amazing to see the diversity.

Here are a dozen of my favorites this year from the whimsical butterflies, frogs, monkeys, fish, gardening and heirloom mismatched china . . .

. . . to the elegant roses, origami, vintage valentines, silver, pottery and a hand painted canvas!

This year I chose to keep it simple with my theme of “Sealed with a Kiss” using an embroidered tablecloth and napkins we received for our wedding almost 44 years ago matched with some delicate china purchased second hand just last year!

The folded napkins were also the envelopes holding a valentine for each woman.

The valentines were created from a free download “You are Loved” with the shown message on the back based on Hebrews 13:8.

The favors were a combination of “hugs & kisses your way”!

What an amazing day!   Women enjoyed a delicious catered meal from the Culinary Academy of NSB High School served by the men and were inspired by three messages plus special music throughout the luncheon.  clip_image034

In addition there was the opportunity to bid in a silent auction for lap quilts that are handmade by a ministry in our church for cancer patients.  I was so excited to win this one which I will use on my dining table.
